The Genesee County Drain Commissioner (GCDC) manages the wastewater collection and treatment facilities for Flint, Michigan and the surrounding communities throughout Genesee County. In 2003, Martin Control Services installed and commissioned 51 permanent flow monitors in the County?s wastewater collection system. The installations included 19 Doppler meters and 32 range-gated Doppler meter in pipes ranging from 8 inches to 72 inches in diameter. Martin Controls continues to provide preventative maintenance and repair services on the remaining permanent flow monitoring sites as well as several rain gauge sites. MCS also installs, commissions, maintains and de-commissions flow meters whenever the GCDC needs to conduct temporary flow studies.
